CIVIS Days
CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
Submissions address key societal challenges and emerging opportunities aligned with the CIVIS strategic agenda. Contributions engage with one or more of the five hub themes of the CIVIS Alliance and respond to :
• Showcase African-European cutting-edge joint research addressing key societal challenges
• Encourage and co-develop new joint research projects and educational offers
• Engage with societal stakeholders across Africa and Europe in co-creating impactful solutions
• Deepen institutional ties for long-term scientific and educational exchange.
Sessions Types
- Panel discussions. These are open discussions in which 3–5 contributors have the opportunity to present and debate a joint work. Each session allocated a slot of 90 minutes.
- Tandem Talks. This format brings together twins from different backgrounds to present intercontinental, interdisciplinary or intercultural perspectives in 90-minute slots.
- Poster pitches. These allow for a graphical presentation of the research conducted, divided into two 60-minute sessions.
- Poster Gallery. This is a showcase of the range of posters submitted for this forum. Each poster features a virtual pitch, which can be accessed via a QR code.
Submission Agreement
We require speakers to accept an agreement in which they commit to:
- Timely release of presentation material (slides), for publishing on our website.
- Allow video and audio recording of their presentation, for publishing on our website and dedicated youtube channel.
