Q: What is Agora for CIVIS?
Agora is a digital platform by CIVIS that enables structured, inclusive, and meaningful public content for all CIVIZENS! It allows civizens to engage with issues, share perspectives, and contribute to respective fields such as Research Infrastructures, Student Course Catalogues, Staff Weeks etc.
Q: How do I get started on Agora?
You can start by visiting Agora (click here) and browsing different catalogues. To participate actively, you’ll need to create an account/authenticate with your university credentials. Once signed in, you can join publish, share your views, and follow topics that interest you.
Q: Who is Agora for?
Agora is for anyone who wants to participate in CIVIS — researchers, staff and students. No prior expertise is required; the platform is designed to be accessible to all.
Q: How do I authenticate through my university?
First click here! - Sign in
1. If you see this page - Please click on "Agree to Terms and Conditions" box, and the click on "Authenticate with your institution".
2. Then it takes you the next page where you will search for your institution. Click on the checkbox if you need to save your preferences.
3. After you click on your Home University, it will redirect to your Home University credentials and you will be authenticated automatically.
Q: How do I create an account on Agora If I'm not able to authenticate through my Home University?
If you are an individual from one of the CIVIS universities - you can authenticate yourself with your university credentials. But if you are not able to authenticate yourself and you are one of the CIVIS universities. Please click on "Log in with your email account" enter the details (e.g. name, email etc) manually!
Q: Do I need to create an account to participate?
Yes/No - It completely depends on what are you looking for. Are you here to just explore the website then you do not need to create an account you can browse around and check the content. But if you are part of CIVIS community and want to participate in any publication process, then YES! - Please login through your instititional login credentials, and if that is not possible please create an account manually (e.g. name, email etc..)
Q: Who runs and moderates Agora?
Agora is developed and managed by CIVIS Digital Campus. Discussions are moderated to ensure respectful, constructive, and inclusive dialogue. Clear guidelines are in place to prevent misuse and maintain a safe space for participation.
