- Virtual Part Description The virtual component will be structured in 9 modules of activity (each module of 2 weeks) starting from mid-February (Feb 17th 2025) to July 4th 2025. Each module consists of 2 weeks of activities (6 online meetings - 2 lectures, 2 workshops, 2 student team presentations sessions- total 10 h/module) and it is dedicated to a particular ncRNAs subject. Each Professor will coordinate one module of activities. Provisional calendar: module 1- February 17-28th 2025 module 2- March 03-14th 2025 module 3- March 17-28th 2025 module 4- March 31st- April 11th 2025 Easter Break- April 12-27th 2025 module 5- April 28th- May 9th 2025 module 6- May 12th- May 23rd 2025 module 7- May 26th- June 6th 2025 module 8- June 9th- June 20th 2025 module 9- June 23rd- July 4th 2025 Online connection will be ensured by Zoom platform (common link), while all supporting materials, articles, presentations, evaluation forms will be grouped in Google Classroom. The virtual part of the BIP is closely related to the learning outcomes. The students will be able to improve their knowledge regarding the roles and functions of non-coding RNAs in different physiological or pathological conditions due to the generous number of hours allocated for lectures given by experts in the field. Skills such as critical thinking, comparative analysis, experimental design will be developed during the workshop hours, under the direct supervision of the experts. Analysis of scientific papers and selection of the critical aspects regarding ncRNAs will be ensured by workshops. Improvement of communication skills, as well as team work presentation in front of an audience will be gained during student presentation sessions. Constructive feedback from the professors will help in adjusting the quality of the visual and oral presentations. Interaction with colleagues from different CIVIS Universities will expand students’ multicultural and learning experiences.

- Physical Part Description The physical mobility program has a balanced structure comprising of lectures, workshop activities, evaluation activities as well as direct interaction to the academic staff, trainers and industry representatives (applicative side of the course). This interconnected program will ensure the stated learning outcomes, improving students’ knowledge about ncRNAs in different research areas. Activities during the physical component totalize 30 hours (5 days x 6 h/day). Each day students will benefit of an invited speaker lecture, workshop activities, evaluation activities (written exam, group presentation, problem-based discussion), presentation from an industry representative.

- Virtual Part Description The virtual component will provide an introductory knowledge of the Summer School topic, through an innovative learning experience. In the first part (2 hours, 15th October 2024) of the virtual component, coordinators will give students a general presentation of the Winter School, including practical information about teaching schedule, online readings, deliverables, mobility, accommodation, etc. In the second part (6 hours, 16th and 22th October 2024) students will be engaged in a Virtual World Café. A Virtual WorldCafé is an online participatory method aiming at establishing an informal and tolerant space of dialogue wheremultiple ideas and perspectives on a topic can be exchanged. Students will be engaged in several rounds of small-group conversation, on different ideological issues, guided by experts using online facilitation tools. At the end of the final round (2 hours, 23th October 2024), the facilitators will summarize the results and discuss them with the students. Teachers will beinvited to take part to the final discussion and to contribute to it.

- Virtual Part Description By integrating in-person instruction with online, non-synchronous sessions, the virtual mobility program will make the most of innovative pedagogical tools including research-based lessons, and collaborative projects. · From 1st of November 2024 to 20th of December 2024, the module will cover the program’s first theoretical part. The virtual component will consist of seven meetings, distributed in seven weeks, 2-4 hours per week. The total amount of teaching the first theoretical part will be 30 hours. · From 21st of December 2024 to 28th of February 2025, students will be engaged in a literature review that will last 50 hours asynchronous. During this time, they will deepen the topics taught by teachers and start working as a team on the given project (the literature review). Additional, participants will be asked to comment on the materials uploaded on the e-learning platform or create a poster/picture representative for a topic, that will last 30 hours asynchronous. · From 3rd of March to 7th of March 2025, it will be an one week mobility, 5 days of courses, 30 hours of in person courses. · From 9th of March to 23rd of March 2025 students will be involved in finalizing the project and preparing for presentation. This activity will last 50 hours (asynchronous). · Between 24-31 March 2025, the final assessment will take place, group project presentation that will last 10 hours online synchronous. Lectures will take place every day, 6 hours per day. 1) Psychological interventions in children with post-traumatic stress reactions (12 hours). 2) Cognitive-behavioural psychotherapies for adults with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD): prolongedexposure therapy, cognitive processing therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy. (18 hours). The main assumptions of trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy will be covered, as well as case conceptualisation and general treatment protocol. The course will also present students with the prolonged exposure therapy, the most investigated protocol till date in dealing with traumatic memories. Trauma-focused acceptance and commitment therapy for adults with a history of complex trauma. The course will cover the principles of acceptance and commitment therapy, a transdiagnostic method entailing the development of psychological flexibility as a general factor favouring psychopathology. Additionally, case conceptualisation and trauma-focused procedures will be presented and exemplified with the participants.
