Equipment LiMif also provides imaging and image analysis services tailored on individual projects to intramuros & extramuros academics and companies as well. LiMiF operates formally since 2011 and has received the label «Plate-Forme Facultaire” of the University (ULB) Conseil d’Administration (CoA) in 2017. LiMiF has also been labelled “« Centre de recherche agréé par Innoviris » (Brussels Region) in 2020. https://innoviris.brussels/fr/innovation-vouchers

Description LiMiF (Light Microscopy Facility), the Faculty of Medicine's photonic microscopy platform, provides its users with traditional ("widefield") visible light and fluorescence microscopy, "one-photon" and "multiphoton" confocal microscopy, lightsheet microscopy and image analysis (deconvolution, 3D, etc.). LiMiF serves mainly the groups of the Faculty - but is also open to projects outside the Faculty. The modus operandi is based on scientific collaborations, technical advice (experiment design, image acquisition, data processing) and user training, depending on the individual projects and the level of microscopy expertise of the researchers involved.
