Sapienza Center for Dynamics
Sapienza Università di Roma
SC4D fosters multi-disciplinary research projects originating from 11 Departments across 7 Faculties. It provides a platform for research activities in the multi-disciplinary field of dynamics for engineering, life sciences and arts aiming at characterizing the health of materials, systems, artefacts ranging from biological to engineering/physical structures. The Center is equipped with a PSV-500-3D-HV Polytec Laser Scanning Vibrometer purchased thanks to a 2018 Sapienza competitive call for research infrastructures under Grant N. GA118164933D8EA2. Moreover, a wide-range of actuation systems (shaking tables, shakers, PZTs) and sensing systems (accelerometers, PZTs, lasers) is available.
