Equipment The SPATIAL facility is made of two centers: -POLARIS robotic polishing centre, to design, robotic production by stress polishing, and testing of large, highly aspherical optical parts (up to 2.5 m in diameter), -SPATIAL AIT/AIV centre consisting of 940 m2 of classified rooms (ISO5,7, and 8) to assembly, integrate, test and calibrate components and instruments with an opto-mechanical core in the UV-visible-IR field, and within a space environment (tanks for optical vacuum up to 50m3).

Description SPATIAL is specialized in the assembly, integration and testing of instruments and opto-mechanical systems opto, as well as in thermal vacuum and cryogenic qualification, vibration qualification, and precision mechanical metrology. SPATIAL is especially designed for filling the needs of major nowadays projects such as ESA's EUCLID space mission and ESO's future very large European telescope ELT.
