Numerical Simulation for Aerodynamics, Aeroacoustics and Aerothermics
Aix-Marseille Université
SNA3 is hosted at the M2P2 'Laboratoire de Mécanique, Modélisation et Procédés Propres' at the Université of Aix-Marseille.
The facility offers numerical simulation capabilities of turbulent flows using Large Scale Simulation (LSS) methods based on an innovative Lattice-Boltzmann (LBM) approach in aerodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and acoustics for various application sectors: aeronautics, automotive, nuclear engineering, urban environments (comfort, civil engineering, pollution).
PE3_2 - Mechanical and acoustical properties of condensed matter, lattice dynamics - Condensed Matter Physics
SNA3 is open to scientific communities of both the academic and private sectors, upon request.
SNA3 consists of a ProlB software, allowing studying the following processes:
-fluid mechanics,
-aerodynamics,
-aeroacoustics,
-aerothermics,
-urban aerology,
-air quality.
