Scientific diving service

The Scientific diving service is one of the common services of the technical office of the Institute Pythéas at the University of Aix-Marseille. This service provides the logistical and technical support necessary for carrying out underwater studies of marine ecology, biology or biogeochemistry, also by ensuring the technical management of all hyperbaric and safety equipments. The service finally notably meets with the specific needs of most research programs carried out by the Institute's laboratory teams or by any other external laboratory of this kind.

The Scientific diving service is open to scientific communities of both the academic and private sectors, upon request.

The Scientific diving service consists of the following:
-Both equipment, technology and related-services support to carry out underwater activities,
-Training and supervision for underwater scientific studies.
