PRATIM is open to scientific communities from both the academic and private sectors.
Through its microscopy equipment, PRATIM has the capacity to allow the following steps: -micro-examination and analyses of any material, either conductive or non-conductive, -characterization of crystals embedded in thin-sections or cross-sections by cathodoluminescence (CL), -examination of living samples (for instance neuronal cultivation by LSM710 or copepod by ESEM), -correlative microscopy (ESEM-CLSM), -topographical examination of samples surface by laser scanning (3D as a specific function of confocal microscope), -shape and size identification of nanometric samples by SAXSESS Anton PAAR, -long-distance land-surveying and mapping by LIDAR. Moreover, the process of data acquisition is conducted by the high-qualified local staff. Regular users can request for a suitable training in order to work autonomously with the equipment.
