MICROSCOPY PLATEFORM OF Institut de Microbiologie de la Méditerranée

The IMM Microscopy Platform includes two main plateaux: one for optical microscopy and another for electron microscopy, and allowing the analysis of various biological systemssuch as bacteria, viruses, giant viruses, amoebae, micro-algae, as well as macromolecules.

Two levels of access are offered:
-provision of the results after experiments and analyses are directly conducted by the platform staff;
-direct access to the equipment after being trained by the platform staff (especially recommended when a repeated use of the equipment is foreseen); a certification is issued.

The tools and methods offered by the platform include super-resolution SIM (Structured Illumination Microscopy), fluorescence microscopy, confocal microscopy, transmission electron microscopy (room temperature or cryo) and scanning electron microscopy.
