LASIF is open to scientific communities of both the academic and private sectors, upon request.
Each request is reviewed by a dedicated local committee in order to provide a cost estimate to the applicants.
LASIF is equipped with an hydrodynamical tank, coupled with a wind tunnel.
The facility staff provides experimental assistance, expertise for instrumentation, and other types of related support to the study of the air-sea interface.
