Centre International de Ressources Microbiennes Champignons Filamenteux
Aix-Marseille Université
CIRM-CF is a biological resources center dedicated to the conservation of filamentous fungi, largely of interest for agro-industries.
The primary role for this material, which is maintained under high-quality standards, is to contribute to enhance knowledge of scientific communities about the Fungal Kingdom. Besides, the collection is made accessible as support for research projects in many different fields e.g., green and white biotechnology, food processing, or on bioactive molecules.
Since 2006, the CIRM-CF collection and related conservation activities (e.g., strain acquisition, authentication and distribution) are certified ISO 9001.

CIRM-CF is open to scientific communities of both the academic and private sectors, upon request.
The CIRM-CF total offer includes:
- provision of fungal strains,
- collection of fungi and isolation of strains,
- generation of monokaryotic strains,
- deposition of strains (open or closed),
- screening, especially of enzyme activities (e.g., enzymatic characterization, development based on lignocellulosic substrates).
