Structural biology
Aix-Marseille Université
The Structural Biology facility gathers a state-of-the-art equipement to study the 3D-structure of proteins or macromolecular assemblies to the corresponding genes.
It is noteworthy that the facility is also part of the larger French infrastructure for integrated structural biology called FRISBI, http://frisbi.eu, and which aimed at promoting technological transfer between industries and academic institutes for technological development and therapeutic applications.

The facility is open to a broad range of scientific communities from the academic to the industrial sectors, upon request. Access is provided taking into account the feasibility of the project (e.g., timing, financial and human resources).
The Structural Biology facility provides services into the main following categories of experiments:
- high-throughput protein production and interaction,
- protein production in eukaryotic systems,
- biophysics of molecular interactions, nanobodies,
- cristallogenesis,
- x-ray crystallography,
- cryo electron microscopy.
The facility staff also provides its expertise and can train potential users on complementary techniques if they request it.
