CIVIS stands for a transnational collaboration of civic universities. Based on the solid and innovative education and scientific activity in each institution, we shall unite efforts and experiences to develop an alliance with strong links to our local social and geographical environments and an orientation toward global challenges. We are fully committed to address these from a European perspective by strengthening our shared and respective civic identities, integrating experiences and nurturing new initiatives. This alliance will bring together some 384.000 students and 55.000 staff members, fostering multilingualism and multiculturalism.

  • Short description The student selected for the placement will have a dual role: On the one hand, to support the CIVIS Africa and Mediterranean Partnership Officer in her task of consolidation of the partnership, based on the Alliance's educational, research and OpenLabs projects. the Alliance's educational, research and OpenLabs projects, in particular by mapping them, identifying calls for projects and putting together responses, and the prefiguration of a joint conference with African universities. 3 In addition, the AMU OpenLab coordinator will be supported in 2 tasks: 1) development, filing and steering of OpenLab projects in the region and at the level of the alliance; 2) participation in the activities of the Alliance's Civic Engagement and Service-Learning expert groups.
