About the Event

How can universities support healthier and more connected communities through collaborative initiatives?

Health is not only a medical aspect, it is shaped by social ties, shared knowledge, and the way different generations and communities support one another. Universities increasingly play a central role in creating spaces where researchers, citizens, and students work together to address these broader dimensions of wellbeing.

Our April webinar will explore how academic institutions can foster more inclusive, community-engaged approaches to health. Whether accompanying people through the ageing process, strengthening intergenerational solidarity, or combating the spread of health misinformation, these projects show how co-creation can make health initiatives more trustworthy, relevant, and empowering.

Such collaborations raise important questions: How do we build trust across age groups? How do we ensure that reliable information reaches those who need it most? And how can universities help citizens become active contributors to healthier societies?

By sharing experiences from across the alliance  the webinar will highlight how participatory methods can strengthen public health, social cohesion, and collective resilience.
