Join us in Bucharest! Collaborate, innovate and solve challenges together!

The CIVIS Student Council warmly invites you to participate in an extraordinary event: Fake It Till You News It: Challenges and Solutions in the Modern Media. An Interdisciplinary Student Innovation Forum.

Submit your paper!

What’s this about?

This Creathon brings together brilliant minds from all over the CIVIS Alliance in Europe and Africa to tackle pressing challenges with creative, collaborative solutions.

Your group is invited to brainstorm and create a solution for challenges in the modern media, open to different academic approaches. The call is open to all students from all CIVIS universities.

You will have the opportunity to present your solution in a conference setting, in connection with the CIVIS Days 2026, which will take place in Bucharest between June 10 to 12, 2026. The exact dates and further information about the technical aspects of your participation will be announced when your team is selected.

Later on, all participants will work together in the form of a workshop to further develop the presented ideas and explore the possibilities of implementing the results in real life. Your solution might therefore have a tangible, positive impact on the real world.

Evaluation and Recognition

  • Among all submissions, the best solution will be chosen and rewarded.
  • A neutral jury will be selected to ensure that the winner selection process is fair and unbiased.
  • Only one presenting team per university is allowed.
  • If multiple teams from the same university apply, the home university will select one team, or a neutral jury of experts will be appointed to resolve this. Contact your Institutional Coordinator (IC) for guidance if necessary.
