Molecular Scale Biophysics
The virtual part is organized as one and a half hour session twice a week on Monday and Thursday evenings at 6pm-7:30pm (Marseille time). THese courses run from the 12 February to the 18 April. The sessions are either pre-recorded sessions or live sessions via Zoom with the professor, in the format of courses or tutorials. Live sessions are recorded so that students who are not available at the particular time can follow the course. The virtual part is evaluated through a series of graded homework assignments on the different subjects and methods treated. Students typically have 2-3 weeks to complete these assignments. Learn how to use state of the art biophysics techniques to understand molecular structure and function.

Physical Part Description
During the physical mobility segment students will come to Marseille and work on an active research project of one of the research groups in the department. The students will perform experiments on the experimental system studied by this group (the structure function relationships of a molecular chaperone) using the state-of the art biophysical techniques available on-site to discover how the chaperone works. The students will thus have both the opportunity to participate in an active research project including obtaining and interpreting new results and also the opportunity to use the different methods and discover how to analyze and interpret their results.
