Cultural Studies of Production
During the fieldwork carried out at the partner institutions, students and professors will meet once a week via zoom for a half-day seminar to discuss the work that is carried out, including ventilating possible hinders and obstacles, and together help each other resolve these hinders. These seminars will be formative and supportive, and help students frame their methods and the gathering if material so that their work is also of help to the institution involved. At the end of the course, on June 12, 13 and 14, 2024, when students have finalized writing an article, essay or report about their fieldwork, students and professors will all meet for two full days via zoom for peer-review seminars. These constructive seminars and their discussions will help student improve their work further - especially for those who are interested in trying to publish their article in a journal/anthology. It will also help students develop their reviewing skills. This course offers PhD students the possibility to apply their theoretical and methodological skills and interests to a smaller, self-chosen research project related to various forms of cultural production at various culture institutions (cultural houses, museums, opera houses, theaters etc) located in Stockholm, Rome and Madrid.

Physical Part Description
The course brings together students in Stockholm to work together during an intensive week consisting of text seminars (led by the involved professors) and interactive workshops conducted at the involved culture institutions in Stockholm. Combining traditional seminars focussing on critically discussing texts by prominent scholars dealing with various kinds of culture production; interactive workshops; individual fieldwork; and peer-review assessments, the course is a compilation of various teaching and learning methods, and these are all methods that will help the students develop certain skills that are needed to work inside as well as outside of the academia.
