PhenoMars is dedicated to developing and applying magnetic resonance methods and instruments for morphologic, metabolic and functional exploration of small animal models (mostly rodents) and humans.
The facilty is hosted at the UMR 7339 and is jointly operated by the CNRS and the University of Aix-Marseille under a contractual agreement with the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Marseille (AP-HM). PhenoMars also benefits from being located next to the preclinical and human equipments of the University Hospital Center 'La Timone' in Marseille, which is recognised to be one of the largest medical campuses and hospitals in southern Europe.
